FAQ and how to get listed

FYI: not listed? Here is how to get listed

  1. Search your island and category first. Your business may already be there.
  2. If it is there, open it and choose "Claim this listing". We will contact you to confirm you are the owner or manager, and then you can update your details.
  3. If it is not there, fill in the short form on the "Add your business" page. It is free.
  4. We review every new business before it appears, and we email you when it is live.

Frequently asked questions

What is this guide?

A free, bilingual directory of businesses, services and community organizations on Roatán, José Santos Guardiola, Utila, Guanaja and the Cayos Cochinos. It is made for visitors, residents and expats.

Does it cost anything to use?

No. The guide is free for everyone to use.

Does it cost anything to be listed?

No. Adding your business is free.

Does this site take donations?

No. The logos under "Support the local charities" on the home page link to those organizations' own websites. Any donation you make goes directly to them, not to this guide.

How do I find a business?

Choose an island on the home page, then a category. Or type a question in the "Ask anything" box, such as "Where can I go diving?", and the guide will point you to the right listings.

Can I use it in Spanish?

Yes. Use the language button at the top right of any page to switch between English and Spanish.

Is the information always up to date?

We do our best, but hours, phone numbers and prices change. Please confirm with the business before you travel or make plans. Owners can keep their own details current by claiming their listing.

Is a listing a recommendation or endorsement?

No. A listing means the business exists and was added to the directory. It is not an endorsement. Always use your own judgment.

Where do I find emergency numbers?

Use the red Emergency button on the home page. It lists the police, fire, medical and other important numbers by island.

I found a mistake. What do I do?

If it is your business, claim the listing (see below) and fix it yourself. Otherwise open the listing and use the claim or contact option to tell us what to correct.

How do I remove my business?

Claim the listing and ask us to remove it, and we will.
